Surveys at Fuqua are pretty annoying. There are lots of surveys, from many different sources, and they are all too long and too annoying. It’s a huge problem and I know the answer.
The ones from the administration are usually long, annoying, and irrelevant (our administrators should take market intel so they know how to write good surveys). The ones from clubs or student government are usually short, and might make a difference, so we would like to answer them, but we are conditioned to be annoyed simply by seeing the word “survey”.
Here’s the answer:
Create a central clearing house for things that need student attention. There should be one email that we get once a week. If there is action required, it should be in this email. All clubs/classes/administration/financial aid/ BMO etc.. need to communicate with this central office if they want a reaction from the students. If your club doesn’t get their survey into the central office in time, tough shit, wait till next week.
It will be a long email, all your different club stuff will be in there - and you know once a week you need some time to go through it.
